Bekolle David

Bekolle David was elected as an AAS Fellow in 2009. As a fellow, Bekolle David contributes to the development of the Academy's strategic direction through participation in AAS activities and governance structures. This gears the Academy's vision of transforming African lives through science.

Biography

Prof. Bekolle obtained his Doctorat 3è Cycle in 1978 and PhD in 1984 at University of Orleans. He held his first position in France at the University of Bretagne as Associate Lecturer, Associate Senior Lecturer and in charge of laboratory analysis. He then moved to Cameroon and held positions as Associate Professor, Chairman of the Department of Mathematics and became Professor in 2003 at the University of Yaoundé I. He has been Vice Rector of the University of Ngaoundéré. His research interests are in Mathematics and classical analysis; partial differential equations, numerical analysis, probability theory, application of Mathematics and mathematical modeling of the epidemiology and infectious diseases. He has collaborations with many professional organizations and Scientific Institutions. He has published 27 articles, 22 papers of research and seminars. He is the founding Editor in Chief of the Journal IMHOTEP and has national and international recognitions.
