Policy Statement

a) Research Funds from the tobacco Industry

• The AAS and its grantees will not accept research funds from the tobacco industry. 

b) Applications for AAS grants from tobacco Industry funded or affiliated researchers

• The AAS does not consider applications for funding from researchers applying for, holding, or employed under a research grant from the tobacco industry. 

c) AAS Fellows Internships within Tobacco Industry

• AAS research grant holders should not seek nor accept internship opportunities with the tobacco industry

d) Research Collaborations

• AAS grant holders should not seek research collaborations with the tobacco industry
