Professor Ngianga-Bakwin Kandala has worked as a Head and Senior Scientist within the African Population and Health Research Centre, West Africa Regional Office and has held numerous university positions with over 20 years of progressively increasing responsibilities. He brings together a successful record of research productivity and academic achievements with experience in research administration and management. Prof. Kandala has experience in leading complex interdisciplinary research teams, developing and implementing large and small scale research programs with a clear focus on policy influence. He has had extensive involvement with research governance in both Africa and global forums, within the public and private sector and has directly overseen and managed multi-million-dollar research programs in Africa and internationally.
