Prof. Laurette Dubé is Professor Emerita and Distinguished James McGill Chair (Marketing) at McGill
University.
She is the founding Chair and Scientific Director of the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and
Economics (MCCHE), a hub that convenes scholars and action leaders to advance “precision convergence”
science for impact at scale. Website: www.mcgill.ca/desautels/mcche.
Her recognitions include Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada (2006), the Women of Distinction Award
(Social & Environmental Sciences, 2011), and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2013).
Originally trained in nutrition with graduate degrees in finance, marketing, and behavioral decision-making, her
research examines the effects, behavioral economics, neurobehavioral, and socio-economic processes
underpinning consumption, lifestyle, and health—translating this knowledge to drive behavior change and systems
transformation.
Her precision convergence approach extends convergence science from a “whole person in a whole society”
perspective, integrating social sciences, humanities, engineering, entrepreneurship, and economics to accelerate
solutions across food, health, and economic systems—including extensive collaborations in Africa.
