Hussein I. El-Subbagh

Hussein I. El-Subbagh, professor of medicinal chemistry and Founder director of Pharmacy Center of Scientific Excellence (PCSE), Faculty of Pharmacy, Mansoura University. El-Subbagh received his B.S. (1978); M.Sc. (1984) Ph.D. (1988) and D.Sc. (2016) degrees from University of Mansoura, Egypt and University of Rhode Island, USA. In 1996, he received “Alexander von Humboldt” fellowship at University of Bonn, Germany. 
Dr. El Subbagh’s scientific contribution focused on design, synthesis, and biological evaluation for the development of drug entities in four different domains, namely: Drug Discovery and Drug Development, Drug Analysis, Drug Design and Molecular Modeling, Chemical Synthesis of New Drug Entities in the areas of Antitumor Agents, DHFR Inhibitors, and CNS Active Drugs. His scientific production reported in more than 130 peer-reviewed publications in leading International Journals, in addition to: 6 review articles, 4 books, 7 book chapters and 12 German, European and US patents. His “h-Index” reached 36 “Scopus” and 33 "Clarivate" evaluation systems.
Dr. El Subbagh received several recognitions including: "State Presidential Medal of Sciences and Arts" 2017; “State Prize of Scientific distinction”, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology – Cairo, Egypt, 2014; "FUE Award of Scientific Research", Future University in Egypt, 2012; "Waleed Kayali Prize for Scientific Research" Saudi Pharmaceutical Society – Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, 2008; “State Prize for Encouragement of Science”, Academy of Scientific Research and Technology – Cairo, Egypt, 1997; "Shoman Award" for the Arab Scientists in Chemistry – Amman, Jordan, 1994. Dr. El Subbagh is currently on the editorial board of Future Journal of Scientific Research. He is on the list of expertise of EACEA-Erasmus+, European Commission. He is member of the Supreme Egyptian University promotion committee (Medicinal Chemistry). He is the head of the Drug Research Council (DRC), and member of the National Committee of Medicines (NCM), Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Egypt.
