His current areas of expertise are Applied Mathematics, Quantum Optics, Quantum Statistical Mechanics, and Stability Analysis. University of Manchester, England, 1993; Ph.D., University of Manchester, England, 1976; B.Sc., (Special Degree in Mathematics) 1967, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt Professor, Mathematics Department, Kuwait University, 1992-1996; Visiting Professor, Ajman University College of Science and Technology, Ajman, United Arab Emirates, Feb-May, 1989; Associate Professor, 1984-1988; Head of Mathematics Department 1985-1988, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia; Research Fellow, Mathematics Department, UMIST, Manchester, England, 1979-1981; Lecturer, (Applied Mathematics Department, Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt), 1978-1983; Post-Doctoral Fellow (Physics Department, Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand), 1977-1978; Research Assistant, (Mathematics Department, UMIST, Manchester, England), 1976-1977. Recipient of Pendant of Excellence – Class 1 (ASRT, Egypt), 1996; Recipient of State Prize in Mathematics (ASRT, Egypt), 1987; Recipient of Science and Arts Medal, Class 1 (ASRT, Egypt), 1982; Recipient of Best Research Prize in Mathematics, Ain Shams University Cairo, Egypt, 1982; Recipient of the State Prize in Physics, (Academy of Scientific Research and Technology: ASRT, Egypt), 1981.
