Diallo Samba was elected as an AAS Fellow in 1989. As a fellow, Diallo Samba contributes to the development of the Academy’s strategic direction through participation in AAS activities and governance structures. . This gears the Academys vision of transforming african lives through science.

Bio

Prof. Diallo was educated in Senegal where he obtained a C.E.S in 1966 then left for Institut Pasteur de Paris where he graduated in Medical Mycology in 1968. He has been Clinic Officer, Office Assistant, Adjunct Hospital Assistant, Hospital Assistant, Coordinator, Associate Professor, Chief Officer of Parasitology and Mycology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar, Professor, Honorary Professor. Currently retired, he is still participating at different experts committees of WHO when invited. His awards include: Laureat de la Faculté de Medecine et de Pharmacie de Dakar, Knight of Academic Awards - France, Officer of Academic Awards - France, Commander of Merit Order – Senegal. He is a Founding member of Academy of Sciences and Techniques of Senegal, Member of World Federation Bureau of Parasitology, President of Society African of Clinical Biology. He has 247 publications assemble.
