Bio

Prof Aluoch graduated in medicine in 1974 from the State University of Utrecht and obtained his Doctorate Degree in Medicine at the University of Netherland (1985). His experiences include Resident, Internist, Senior Resident, Physician consultant, Assistant Adjunct Professor and Senior Lecturer. Presently, he is Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Physician – Hematologist at the University of Nairobi. His research interests cover immunohaematology of tropical diseases and clinical epidemiology of both gastrointestinal and cardiovascular diseases. His memberships are: Visiting clinical Professorship, Royal College of Physicians, International Clinical Epidemiology Network, Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. He has published 3 books, 31 papers in scientific medical journals, and has made not less than 26 conference presentations. He is a member of the board of governors of Kuoyo Kochia Secondary School Homa Bay District- Kenya, co-organizer of African region of international clinical epidemiology network, member international outreach committee, and chairman steering committee proposed cancer Unit, Kenyatta National Hospital.  He has contributed to the development of the medicine department of the University of Nairobi.
