Overview
The African Academy of Sciences (AAS) is joining members of the global climate change adaptation community at the Adaptation Futures conference (AF2023), being held in Montreal, Canada from 2-6 October 2023.

From over 120 countries, more than 2,000 members of the climate change adaptation community are gathering in Montreal, and online, to share cutting-edge knowledge and solutions that will enable us to collectively confront the new climate reality and shape a resilient future.

AAS will coordinate the 11 sessions in the Africa Pavilion and will host its own session on Tuesday 3rd Oct 2023 at 14h30-16h00 (GMT-4) discussing food security in Africa: lessons learnt, opportunities, and priorities for adaptation. The session shall feature seven early-to-mid-career researchers from the African Research Initiative for Scientific Excellence (ARISE), working on the nexus between climate change and food security.
