Dr. Oluwakemi Rotimi is a Senior Lecturer at Covenant University, Nigeria, with over nine years of experience in teaching and research. Her research is at the nexus of Toxicology, Environmental Health, Developmental origins of Health and Disease (DOHaD) and epigenetics. Currently, her research focuses on genetic and epigenetic mechanisms associated with the adverse effects of environmental toxicants on health. In 2022, she was awarded an emerging global leader career development award by the National Institutes of Health to study the epigenetic effects of early-life aflatoxin B1 exposure. She is an alumna of the University of Michigan African Presidential Scholar program and a recipient of the University of Michigan African Studies Center Collaborative seed grant. Dr Rotimi teaches and mentors undergraduate and masters students. She has published over twenty articles in her field of research. She was selected as an AAS Affiliate for her contributions in Toxicology and Environmental Health.
